Hi there!
I'm Edgar Martins, and I've been lucky enough to spend the last 20+ years telling stories through animation!
It's been quite a ride, working with some incredibly talented people on all sorts of exciting projects along the way.
Most recently, I directed a Warhammer 40K cinematic at Titmouse Studios, and somewhere along the way, my storyboard work on Love, Death & Robots earned me an Emmy and an Annie Award, which was a pretty lovely surprise!
I've also spent a good part of my career at SPA Studios, where I was Head of Story on the Oscar-nominated Klaus and more recently contributed to Sergio Pablos' upcoming feature EMBER. Other adventures have taken me to Guillermo del Toro's Oscar-winning Pinocchio and Netflix's + Sony upcoming Ghostbusters animated series.
A project especially close to my heart is Poet Anderson: The Dream Walker, an award-winning sci-fi animated short I developed and directed with my twin brother, Sergio Martins, who's now off on his own adventures as a supervising animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios. Getting to create something from scratch together was definitely one of the highlights of this journey.
After all these years, I'm still just as excited about bringing characters and stories to life, and always curious to see what the next adventure brings.
Thanks for stopping by, and stay tuned for more!
